The NCWC has achieved many things since it's establishment. They have swayed many government decisions and helped in the institution of many policies and laws. Some of their successes include:
- helping establish the first free libraries
- pushing better public health regulations such as pure water supply, the pasteurization of milk and the medical inspections of schools
- better child welfare and the prevention of child abuse
- playing an active role in the formation of many important Canadian institutions including the Victorian Order of Nurses, Children's Aid Societies, and the Consumer Association of Canada
- they were key in the formation of the Women's Bureau of Labour and the Federal Bureau of Ageing
- helped with establishing provisions against discrimination in the Human Rights Act
- passed a resolution removing abortion from the criminal code
- created programs protecting prostitutes and assisting in their rehabilitation
- opening training programs for women
